What Game Shall We Make Today?

A lot of family have asked for my make notes on Nextgenbiz’s top 100 most excellent selling games of 2007-8 .

Since the figures don’t hold Japan or games bundled with hardware I would say ,firstly, that these charts sap or underestimate the issue of Nintendo and its almost clean domination of the general software mart. Even some of Nintendo’s older titles such as Brain teaching and Nintendogs are still selling cyclopean amounts and this is not reflected in this chart, obviously.

By itself from that, there are few surprises. If you are going for unstained profit then you create a licensed sport, either of the movie inscription or of the sports genre.

This is how EA continues to control : 
(1) movie titles such as Simpsons, Pirates of the Caribbean, Raid Potter were beautiful mediocre in articles of agreement of game peculiarity but still sold very well
(2) top licensed sports genres resembling Madden, Fifa and Tiger Woods gaurantee very great sales even if their go in the rear the wake of ups are not so different.

If you are still going for the top dollar , then “First Someone Shooters” still be king supreme with Ring 3 and COD4 although “Trial” still sells well as does “Guitar Brave man “ , though I am not fully convinced what category that is (melody / simulation possibly?). Attractive to see the different ratios between USA and Europe for sales of each inscription : Guitar brave man and Pokemon sold 9:1 (USA-Europe) in this honor and (1:3) for Tiger Woods was a astonishment. Finally, (and unfortunately for other Sport Developers) the top way to create money these days is to call your concourse Nintendo and put up to sale your title exclusively to the Wii or DS ! Later in  the week , I will take a closer gaze at what makes Nintendo’s software so exceptional and what we can or should learn from their expertise. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 (Wii) Review

- Just over five months ago, EA released Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 for Nintendo Wii. At the time of review, we thought it was odd, as EA usually followed the classic "Our games are one year ahead of reality" pattern, and Tiger Woods 07 was actually releasing in 07. Fear not Wii patron, EA hasn't fallen behind, because it's still 2007, and we've got a new Tiger Woods sitting on shelves.
