An inactive question: has there been a trifler to roll through the Texas Rangers organizing in the past decade that has generated more supple discussion or been more utterly polarizing than Jason Botts?
“I think I’ve been here for a moderately beautiful long duration and I deserve a new start somewhere else,” Botts related. “I speculate there’s fulness of examples of clan leaving the Texas Rangers and going on to positively great things. There could be something elephantine in my future.”
Botts was noncommittal on whether he would communicate to the minors if he cleared waivers, but he’s still under bludgeon control and would have to set forth if he wants to get paid. Not partial manager Jon Daniels reported the club will see if there’s any interest in Botts from other teams but that they don’t contemplate to release him.
In articles of agreement of wins and losses in 2008, it makes minute difference whether Ben Broussard, Jason Botts, or Chris Shelton starts at first. Broussard was unquestioned to be subadequate, Shelton had a stellary April 2005 and unobtrusive success at other spells, and Jason Botts had yet to capitalize on the possible shown in his horrible AAA performances. None is/was credible to be an above-average 1B in 2008.
